Air Force Cycling Classic

Sorry, it's taken so long to get this published!

On June 12th, we all got up early and got ourselves set up in our corporate challenge tent (except one of us, who overslept and arrived about 2 minutes before the start!)  Bib numbers were pinned on, last minute adjustments were made, and at 7:40 the organizers opened the course. GC Vélo rolled across the starting line together, setting a quick pace. As the day heated up (an early heat wave making June feel like August) a few friends and coworkers showed to support us. As the clocked ticked down, we all crossed the line for our last laps. The six of us had completed 48 laps! Success!

Jonathan Abel-Millman - 9 laps
Jonathan Applequist - 8 laps
Nick Bradford - 9 laps
Tim Lester - 7 laps
John McConnell - 8 laps
Jacob Shackelford - 7 laps

So now that we've met our first goal, we need to set our next. It might be a road race, it might be a century, or it might be a corporate group ride. Whichever it is, one thing is certain. The experience brought us together, and showed us that when we work as a team, we will always succeed!
